#muckDiving #scubaDiving #biodiversity #marineBiology #Philippines There is no objectively “best” place to scuba dive, and the sun-flooded tropical coral reefs of the Philippines and Indonesia simply have very different charms than the WWI wrecks in the icy waters of Scappa Flow. But for me, intellectually as a biologist, as well as aesthetically and emotionally, the southern tip of Negros Island in the Philippines, is my favorite place to dive. We are going diving in Dauin’s famous “Muck Diving” sites, and looking for ghost pipefish, a helmet snail, many gobies, the flamboyant cuttlefish and the infamous Bobbitt worm.
