24.9.27 The Magruder Corridor adventure in central Idaho is unique in the United States. It’s 101 miles of road between the 1.2 million acre Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness and the 2.3 million acre Frank Church River of no return wilderness. The road was built in the 1930’s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The corridor was named for Elk City merchant Lloyd Magruder who, in 1863, along with four companions, was murdered near mile 44.2 westbound (near the Selway River). The murderers were pursued and brought back to Lewiston, Idaho, where they were tried, found guilty, and hanged; the first legal hanging in the Idaho territory. During our 3 day journey from Darby, Montana to Grangeville, Idaho we visit Hells Half Acre lookout, Burnt knob lookout, and Green Mountain Lookout with numerous lakes and rivers along the way. Video is sponsored by https://basetenshop.com/ where you can get the Bronco Kitchen, Baja Designs lighting, BLUETTI power products, and Cliq camp chairs. #bronco #bronconation #lighting #camping #offroad #idaho #basetenshop.com #howto #twinpeaks #overland #onx #overlandbound #Adventure #hiking #northidaho #Idaho #venture #OHV #trail #roadtrip #lake Music attribution: Record_scratch by: Pixabay https://pixabay.com/sound-effects/rec...
