"I will never stop resisting occupation. I know we have to pay a price for having chosen to resist, and that it might only be a matter of time until we lose someone. But in any case, there’s no life under occupation. We are already losing it all” — Palestinian feminist and activist Manal Tamimi Manal Tamimi is a well-known Palestinian activist from the West Bank village of Nabi Saleh. In 2009 settlers from the nearby Halamish settlement took control of one of the village's main water sources in the village. The inhabitants of Nabi Saleh organized weekly demonstrations led by the women and children. Manal studied International Law at Al-Quds University and is a member of the Popular Struggle Coordination Committee (PSCC) an organization that brings together Popular Resistance Committees. She has been arrested and injured numerous times by the Israeli military, including by a sniper’s bullet. In January 2019 her sons Osama and Muhammad were arrested by the military. Manal is featured in the Aljazeera video How to be a Palestinian Supermom.
