Emma's Entourage - Move For the Kids

On Saturday, May 12, 2012, our team will walk the 3.1 miles from Children's Memorial Hospital to its new facility, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, in downtown Chicago. Even more special, this walk parallels the life saving ambulance ride Emma took only hours after birth from Prentice Women's Hospital to Children's Memorial Hospital. This time, however, Emma will be surrounded by family and friends. We walk to honor Emma's strength and courage. We walk to support the doctors and nurses who comforted us on the bad days, celebrated the good ones and offered hope when medically there wasn't any. We walk to remember all the babies who fought each day to get healthy enough to go home. We walk to give strength to those who need it now. While Lurie Children's may look finished from the outside, much work remains to make it the best it can be for kids and families. We hope you will support our fundraising efforts by donating today. Every gift, no matter the amount, will make a real difference. You can also help spread the word by telling your family and friends. We need everyone in the community to join together and "Move for the kids!" Kids under 12 are free. Strollers and wagons are welcome, however, there are steps and curbs along the way.
