Interview with Comic Creator and Art Collector Phil Hester

Phil Hester certainly needs no introduction as a comic artist, having worked in the comics industry for over 35 years as both an artist and writer. But he's also been collecting narrative artworks for just as long! Phil is celebrating his 16th year on CAF this month, and so it's fitting to have him on for a collector interview to talk about his interests as a collector (interior pages!), but also his time working in the industry. Phil is also a guest of OAX 2026 and will be opening his pre-bookings during the show. Phil Hester is a writer and artist that has worked for several comic companies. He created the character The Wretch, published by Caliber Comics and Slave Labor Graphics; he also co-created Firebreather, published independently and co-created Mia Dearden in Green Arrow by DC Comics.
