We discuss the importance of "emotional awareness" and how "feelings matter" in creating a safe relational environment. This aims to provide "relationship advice" for improving "emotional regulation" and fostering healthier connections. 💡✨ I discussed when special interests become avoidant behaviors for autistic men. I explained that special interests provide nervous system regulation and safety. I distinguished between restorative passion and trauma-based escapism in relationships. I offered self-reflection questions for autistic husbands about their motivations. I provided guidance for neurotypical partners to encourage connection without shame. I emphasized that unprocessed relational trauma is the real issue, not the special interests themselves.
