ALASKA at its BEST - A perfect day w/ Alaska Railroad on the Denali Star! Anchorage to Fairbanks

Alaska does not disappoint! The Geezers finally returned to Alaska, 24 years after our first visit to Alaska’s inland passage. We regret waiting so long to go deeper into Alaska, and we will definitely be going back. The first part of our adventure was travelling along the Alaska Railroad from Anchorage to Fairbanks. We were amazed by the scenery, and the beautiful wilderness visible from the Denali Star doomed observation Car A. Did you know that if you travel on a clear day, you can see Mount Denali from the train? As you go further north, the landscape gets more intense and even more beautiful. We chose to travel on the last day the Denali Star ran, September 17. And we could not have picked a better time. In this video you will find a ton of tips spread throughout the video so be sure to watch it all! We learned things on this trip that we will definitely want to do on our next visit (see the tips). Once we got to Fairbanks, we hiked inside Denali State Park during the day and searched for the Northern Lights at night. Those videos will be coming up soon. Can’t wait to show you, as the trails were beautiful, and steep to say the least, but well worth battling the cold and wind. Are you over 65 or older?
