Music: ‪@StarboundDrift‬ SHIP DESCRIPTION The Strike Lancer is a heavily modified variant of the YT-421 pursuit ship co-developed by Dagon Industries and Corellian Engineering Corporation. The YT-421 earned a reputation for being a fast, agile gunship ideally suited for bounty hunting. That performance caught the attention of the Track Rangers, an outfit within the Trackers Alliance comprised of former Freestar Rangers who left to pursue the lucrative bounty hunting market. While their tactics often draw disapproval from more traditional enforcement outfits, the Freestar Collective continues to contract the Track Rangers for high-risk operations that fall outside standard Freestar Ranger protocol. Having worked with LEC on prior modification contracts, the Track Rangers commissioned LEC to produce a heavily revised variant tailored for extended pursuit. Intended to replace aging assets across their fleet, an undisclosed number of these vessels were quietly acquired. Designated the TR‑17 Strike Lancer, the modified platform increases overall hull volume while undergoing a complete overhaul of internal systems, crew accommodations, and armament. Powering the Strike Lancer is an RD-4 Mag-Inertial Grav Reactor, paired with a K-2 Arcjet sublight engine unit, delivering exceptional thrust-to-mass performance and sustained acceleration rarely found in ships of its class. LEC’s upgraded armament suite includes a pair of twin GX Ballistic Pulse Cannons, dual Raptorclaw photon cannons, and a Talonstrike double missile launcher, providing both sustained firepower and decisive strike capability. Defensive coverage is handled by an HMF-V shield generator, ensuring survivability during prolonged engagements with hostile targets. Internally, the ship is configured around a standard crew complement of four, with expanded habitation space, reinforced detention block, crew armory, med bay and an enlarged cargo hold for seized assets and mission equipment. When standard patrols disengage and official channels stall, the Strike Lancer is deployed to finish the job.
