UPDATE - 10/20/2020 Further details from James Carr taken from the Historical Society of Greater Lansing Facebook page: / 137660544586 retrieved on 10/20/2020 - "The section of I-496 seen around 2:08 was opened in December 1970 and was the last to be completed. That puts the first part of the film somewhere around late fall 1969 to spring 1970. I can't be as sure about dating the Washington Ave parking mall booths (3:28), but I know that the approach to LCC looks exactly as I remember it from circa 1970. One of our experts might be able to date the second part of the video from the construction cranes seen from 4:10 to 4:20." Original Posting: Footage of 1970s or 1960s Lansing, MI culled from several film reels of unknown origin at Archive.org -- The footage is of a driver cruising down Kalamazoo Street and into the old Oldsmobile plant along a stretch of Lansing that shows I-496 being built. The driver then cruises into an excellent old downtown Lansing.
