Can M5Stamp Light These MAX7219 LED Matrix Displays? Let's give this tiny M5Stamp a big display. I found this LEDMatrixDriver library in Arduino library manager that looks like exactly what I need. Kudos to Bartosz Bielawski / LEDMatrixDriver on Github. I see this example sketch in the LEDMatrixDriver library: "MarqueeText". This looks straightforward. You just need the set the CS pin number in the sketch to match the pin you wired CS to on the MAX7219 LED Matrix display. Can I make it work on this cool little M5Stamp Pico from M5Stack? In my first M5Stamp video we lit up the onboard RGB LED with the colors of the rainbow and printed Hello World on the M5Stack OLED Unit. But this was all using UIFlow to program the M5Stamp. In today's video we are setting out in a new direction using the Arduino IDE to program the M5Stamp to light up this MAX7219 LED Matrix display. These MAX7219 LED Matrix displays can daisy chain from one to many, if you wish. Just make sure to line the five pins up correctly before soldering them. I'm looking at the Arduino sketch trying to figure out the wiring. I just go ahead and wire the M5Stamp to the MAX7219 using the M5Stamps pins as they are marked for SPI. The only thing I can see to update in the sketch is the declaration of the LED MATRIX_CS_PIN. Set this to 19. Make sure LED MATRIX_SEGMENTS matches the number of MAX7219 segments you have physically attached. In my case it is 8 segments. Upload this and wow!
