Cement: Portland cement is the most commonly used. 2. Sand: Coarse sand or play sand. 3. Gravel: Coarse gravel or crushed stone. 4. Water: Clean water. Ratio: A common mixing ratio for concrete is 1 part cement, 2 parts sand and 3 parts gravel (1:2:3). The amount of water depends on the desired consistency, but a good starting ratio is about 0.5 parts water per part cement. Tools: Shovel Bucket or mixing container Concrete mixer (optional but helpful for larger quantities) Spirit level (for consistency) Instructions: 1. Preparation: Choose a suitable place to mix that is well ventilated and where you can easily set the materials down. 2. Mixing the dry ingredients: Mix the cement, sand and gravel in a bucket or on a clean, stable surface. Use a shovel to mix the materials well until the mixture is a uniform color. 3.
