Hello everyone! Join me as I go into detail about how I made this Bioactive utopia for a small marbled newt (Triturus marmoratus) named Wilfred and how his enclosure has held up over the almost year it has been set up. You can check out my instagram linked below and if you have any suggestions or concerns feel free to comment down below https://www.instagram.com/jimmyexotic... I also decided to create this rough plant list for anyone wondering what plants were being used in the setup. i should have done that in the video but live ya learn. Some species I am not entirely sure of so apologies for the vagueness on some of the plants. In addition I will have a (X) next to any plant that ended up failing, or dying later on. That is not to say that the plant couldn't have survived, but that natural selection has made its choice and it was either out competed, or it was just simply not the right plant for the setup PLANT LIST: Multiple Fern Species Various terrestrial moss species Selaginella uncinata Selaginella kraussiana (X) Pilea depressa (subspecies unknown Dragon's Tongue plant (Strobilanthes sinuata OR Hemigraphis repanda) Rabbits Foot Fern (Phlebodium aureum) Fittonia spp. Java moss (Assumed Taxiphyllum barbieri) Oak Creeping Fig (Ficus pumila quercifolia) Anubias nana petite Duckweed Salvinia minima Dwarf Hairgrass Plant (Eleocharis parvula) (X) Begonia amphioxus (X) #newt #paludarium #bioactive #amphibians
