Landing in Ráckeve – John the Valliant Crosses the Danube

Picnic in Ráckeve at Vadkacsa Beach, 9 July 2022 In the beginning of 2022, the students from Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), Department of Urban Planning and Design arrived in Ráckeve to revitalize the MHSZ building on the Vadkacsa Beach of Ráckeve in the framework of the DANUrB+ project https://www.interreg-danube.eu/approv... The goal of the students’ workshop was for the youngsters to show new ideas and possible developments/improvements for the city. The weekend program provided the opportunity for locals to familiarize themselves with the students’ plans and the completed urban installations. The internationally relevant cultural and natural heritage of Ráckeve and Szigetzug was presented, as well as the DANUrB Quality Label. Local stakeholders who actively take care of the local heritage were also introduced. The event was sponsored by the DANUrB+ international project, organized by Pest County Municipality in the framework of Szigetzug Danube Days. DANUrB – “A Journey Connecting Communities!”
