Learn how to sew a sweater dress without a pattern in today's easy step by step sewing project for beginners who are comfortable using a sewing machine and are ready to learn how to make clothes! It's a simple silhouette that's easy to sew, and I'll show you how to sew it using only a long sleeve shirt as a guide. I made mine more tunic length, but you can make yours as long or as short as you'd like! ***** MATERIALS NEEDED: -2 or more yards of a stretch sweater knit fabric – since mine has stripes, I used every bit of that 2 yards to make sure the stripes matched up. If you’re not using stripes there’s a chance you won’t need quite as much, but I’d get at least 2 yards still to be on the safe side. -Fitted shirt with sleeves to use as a template -See through piece of paper – tissue paper or tracing paper both work great! -Basic sewing supplies – scissors, thread, ball point needle, sewing machine, tape measure, pins, chalk, etc. ***** WHAT SUPPLIES DO I USE?
