A&Z #226 – Atlas vs The Route 66 Burger Challenge!! (UK Tour 2015 – Day #17 / Challenge #17) Hey everybody! Day #17 of my 2015 UK & Ireland Tour and for this food challenge, I’m at The Route 66 Diner in Blackpool, England. Here I’ll be taking on their Route 66 Burger Challenge which includes a full 2 liter pitcher of Coca-Cola or Diet Coke in addition to everything else!! The Route 66 Burger Challenge: Five 10 oz burgers sandwiched between 3 buns, accompanied by 2 corn-on-the-cobs, onion rings, hot shots, a portion of chilli, and a pound of French fries… all washed down with 2 litres of Coke or Diet Coke. Challengers have 30 minutes to finish the entire meal. Over 250 people had previously failed without any champions, so the restaurant chose to eliminate the cheese and bacon to make the challenge slightly less difficult. I attempted the challenge shortly after this decision was made, which is why there was no cheese or bacon on my burgers. People who can successfully defeat the challenge get the £20 meal free and their name and photo added to the Wall Of Fame.
