However, there are other good herb rotations in BDO, such as my "52 Herbs Rotation" at the Serene Spring in the Balenos Mountains. If you know how to gather from a distance, the spot is a true alternative to Behr. I recommend everyone to power-level your Gathering with herbs at least until Master 1, where the energy efficiency is maximized. After that, you can make an educated decision what to gather next with the Gatherable Materials Overview provided in this video. Due to the synergy with cooking, I think meat is the best thing to gather for beginners who want to make silver and get some enhancement materials. Increase your BDO Gathering mastery through leveling and investing into better gear. DMUK's Gathering Gear Progression Chart, also shown in this video, provides clear guidelines on how to progress in the most efficient manner. If you are at least Skilled 5 Gathering, you can get an "invisible" 650 Mastery for free by purchasing a Magic Hoe from the marketplace. Norma Leight at the Northern Wheat Plantation can lend you the Leight's Hoe (200 mastery, +10% Gathering EXP) for 50 CP. It is recommended that you go from TET Loggia Accessories directly to DUO Manos Accessories. Skip the Geranoa tier, it does not scale as well as Manos. Some people use PEN Geranoa Accessories over TET Manos Accessories later on, but I personally wouldn't recommend it. You don't need PEN Manos Accessories to reach 2000 Mastery. A PEN Manos Tool, PEN Manos Gatherer's Clothes, Guru 28 Gathering and 6 TET Manos Accessories are enough if you use the Seafood Cron Meal buff. There are other buffs, such as Gathering speed buffs, Life Experience modifiers and Energy Potions to refill your Energy. Your Gathering speed should always be at 5/5, it is really easy to max out through Seafood Cron Meal, a Life Spirit Stone from the Central Marketplace and by joining a guild. Gathering speed is one of the benefits of being in a guild in Black Desert, even if you are a solo player. There are many Life Experience buffs available in BDO. Some of them are permanent items, others are temporary. Some are always available, others only at events or through the Pearl Shop. If you want to use your Birthday Cake for +100% Life EXP, make sure to prepare another Lifeskill as a fallback option before you start. Energy Potions are extremely important because they let you extend your Gathering sessions and save travel time (and silver). You can get them at NPC Alustin by exchanging 200 Energy from an alt or at the Central Marketplace. There are also Loyalty Potions and Pearl Potions that don't share the same cooldown as your Regular Energy Potion XL. If you want to spend real money on gathering in Black Desert Online, make sure to buy a Hedgehog first. The Serene Spring is a little difficult to find, but it is well worth it. Enable "use mouse to move" in your settings to gather from a distance. Get used to the maximum reach. Follow the rotation with as many active life EXP buffs as possible with the help of the numeric labels. For inventory management, you may have to delete seeds of the herbs and stack trade item beetles on your horse. At some point, you can do a storage run to Velia nearby to unload. Reaching Guru 28 Gathering takes a really long time, even with buffs. Put something nice on your second screen while Gathering and motivate yourself by thinking about the 4 - 11 million extra silver per hour you are getting per bracket.
