Recently, Dasheng host Vivian Wu returned to the U.S. West Coast to visit Professor Chenggang Xu at Stanford University’s China Economic and Institutional Research Center. She invited him to further explain the concept of institutional genes and explore why the communist totalitarian regime took root in China. Using more examples, Professor Xu provides an in-depth analysis of some core concepts, serving as a guide to the upcoming Chinese edition of his new book, Institutional Genes: The Origins of China’s Institutions and Totalitarianism. Professor Xu also addressed questions from “Dasheng Interviews” viewers about the Institutional Genes video series. #China #Economy #XiJinping #Totalitarianism #ChinesePeople #ChenggangXu #Communism #Institutions #History #InstitutionalGenes #MaoZedong #Stalin #Marx #Engels #Life #SovietUnion #Collapse #Socialism #Freedom #Politics #History #Intellectuals #Christianity #Catholicism #Freedom #Politics #History #ChineseHistory #HumanRights #Economy #PrivateProperty #Ideology #Entrepreneurs / @dashengmedia This is the YouTube account of the Chinese-language free creative community "Dasheng" ( Dàshēng, meaning "Mighty Voice").
