Leah's Waltz is an English Country Dance devised by Fried de Metz Herman in 1989, and published in "Ease and Elegance". This version is a proper 3 couple longways dance, there is also a triple minor version. It was written in honor of Leah Barkan. The dance has two tunes: the first, "Amelia" was composed by Bob McQuillen, and the second, "Nancy's Waltz" by Chris Romaine. It was performed by Bare Necessities (Earl Gaddis, Mary Lea, Peter Barnes, and Jacqueline Schwab) on the album "At Home". It is used with permission of Country Dance Society, Boston Centre, Inc. https://www.cds-boston.org/ecdc/ The animation plays at 123 counts per minute normally, but the first time through the set the dance is slowed down so people can learn the figures more readily. Men are drawn as rectangles, women as ellipses. Each couple is drawn in its own color, however the border of each dancer indicates what role they currently play so the border color will change each time through the minor set. https://www.upadouble.info/
