Well well well, these two SD40s can't seem to go on their separate ways and love to hang out on this local! Can't argue with that because the SD40 is such a reliable locomotive! No wonder why railfans have a soft spot in their hearts for these locomotives. No wonder why Norfolk Southern is rebuilding a majority of the SD40-2s to SD40-3s! No wonder why they are well oiled machines and they are literally built very well! If only Baldwin made the SD40 and not EMD. If Baldwin built the SD40, they would even go further! At least back them EMD made such reliable locomotives unlike GE where if you push a GE hard, they do tend to burn up. That's why you see damage from fire on the engine compartment at times and railfans refer that as toaster damage! Also, I'm trying out a new spot! This one is a park in Robesonia, Pennsylvania and it's very close to the detector at milepost 71.1! Has a signal tower to tell you when a train is coming but doesn't stay on all the time like some signal towers do. So, a new spot for heritage units, foreign power, and some other surprises!
