"Your case against me is so very clearly stated... I plead no contest, I just turn and I shrug..." Blow Away is perhaps the ultimate late-era Brent Mydland anthem. The song always presents itself as a very personal number for Brent, with the song connecting with the audience in very human ways. The July 7, 1989 (Philadelphia) version is particularly evocative and is perhaps the best known live performance of the song. In this performance from Woodlands Tavern, Dupree's Dead Band dives headlong into this one, with Joe Hartsel leading the way. This is a really special number for the band to perform for many reasons - one being that is a particular favorite of Jim Schlegel (the band's Bob Weir).
