Happening NOW - Eaglet Brutus has been knocked out of the nest by an owl. I think we all saw this as a high potential. With owl strikes happening here nightly, it was just a matter of time. This video captures the situation from all three cam angles. As you can see, Brutus really hung on tight and tried with great effort to get back in the nest. here's hoping s/he made it to a nearby branch to perch. Not sure if s/he will be able to get back in the nest unaided. Obviously it is not near time to fly yet. Window to Wildlife helps to oversee this nest & they are typically swift to help when allowed.
