15 minutes of little dude looking for love in all of the places. Beneath the ocean's sway, A cuttlefish with hues that dance and play, In coral gardens, where shadows drift, It glides in search, its heart a hopeful gift. In twilight depths, where colors blend, It seeks a love, a partner, a friend. With skin like silk, it changes, bright and shy, A silent call beneath the azure sky. Through forests of anemones it roams, Past waving fronds and shipwrecked homes. It meets a gaze, a fleeting, tender glance, But love, like waves, can vanish in a trance. In caverns deep, where sunlight’s touch is rare, It weaves through mazes with a gentle flair. Each flicker of its chromatophores' glow, A question posed, in currents’ gentle flow. It whispers in the language of the deep, Could you be my love? In dreams, I keep. But in the blue expanse, where shadows kiss, It swims alone, yearning for love’s bliss. Yet, hope remains in every ocean’s turn, For love, like tides, will rise and always return. In waters wide, its quest will never cease, A cuttlefish in search of love and peace. .................................................. Each year, large numbers of Giant Australian Cuttlefish (Sepia apama) gather in the waters off the coast of Whyalla, located in South Australia, during the winter months, typically from May to August. This migration is driven by several scientific reasons: Spawning Grounds: Whyalla's rocky coastline provides ideal spawning grounds for cuttlefish. The males and females congregate in these areas to mate and lay their eggs. The rocky crevices and ledges offer safe places for the eggs to develop. Water Temperature and Salinity: The environmental conditions in the Spencer Gulf near Whyalla, including the temperature and salinity of the water, are favorable for the development of cuttlefish eggs and larvae. The cooler winter waters provide the right conditions for successful breeding. Food Availability: The coastal waters around Whyalla are rich in food sources, including small fish, crustaceans, and other marine organisms that cuttlefish feed on. This abundance of food supports the increased energy demands during the breeding season. Predator Avoidance: The specific environmental features of Whyalla's coastline may help reduce the risk of predation on the cuttlefish and their eggs. The complex underwater topography offers hiding places that can protect them from larger predators. Genetic Factors: There may be innate genetic factors driving the migration patterns of cuttlefish to Whyalla, ensuring that they return to this specific location each year to breed. These factors collectively create a suitable and advantageous environment for the cuttlefish to reproduce, ensuring the survival and continuity of their species. 0:00 hit the town 2:11 swipe right 2:43 no chill 3:17 regroup 3:44 got game 3:52 ask the question 4:19 feelin it 5:30 new moves 6:58 what up 7:34 sausage sizzle 7:55 lights on 8:12 you up 8:35 swipe left 9:08 night stalker 10:41 wrong button rookie 11:10 down 11:56 coffee 12:55 nah bro 13:19 lol 14:16 Aladdin 15:10 dance mode 15:55 later bud Mark is a documentary film maker and photographer living in Moana Beach, South Australia, and travels worldwide on assignment.
