Serge Medusa | Polyphonic Cluster Generator | Serge Modular Episode 06

I am aware that Serge modules are a niche in the eurorack niche, but Medusa is close to redefining the eurorack polyphonic landscape. It's not easy to create chords and huge textures (clusters) without going digital and use midi. Medusa is a fully analog seven voice chord and cluster machine. Even though it's the slightly limited small sister of the full 4U (which also includes a filter), it's the magic of eurorack combinations that will put an end to monophony. This is, beyond any doubt, my favorite VCO of 2024 and probably in my entire collection. In this episode I am keeping things simple and close to Serge's vision. Medusa is inspired by Gyorgy Ligeti's 'Atmospheres' composition (1961) which is used in the psychedelic finale of 2001 A Space Odyssee. So I am going to do a lot of clusters in this video, and save the experimental side for later episodes. In Episode 01 of this series I considered myself an Indiana Jones in a snakepit, trying to unravel the mysteries of Serge gear. The adventure continues, but this time, it's an Odyssee through Greek Mythology. Medusa may have been a stone cold b*tch, but this module is not. Enjoy!
