It's time for the very first Practice Flower pattern in my Learn French Beading: Beginner Course! This is a new Lavender design that makes either a bud lavender, or a blooming lavender with little florets that have popped open. Part 1 demonstrates all of the flower parts: Tip Unit, Bud Unit, Bloom Units, and Leaves. Part 2: Assembly - • French Beaded Lavender - Part 2: Assembly ... ------- Clarifications -------- String 1 Green, 9 purple, 1 Green 54 times to make all of the Tip and Bud Units for a Bud Lavender. String 1 Green, 9 purple, 1 Green 24 times to make all of the Tip and Bud Units for a Blooming Lavender. For the Tip Units, Bud Units, and Leaves string the beads and leave the wire attached to the spool so you do not risk running out of wire while making components. For a 2-Bloom Unit cut about 18 inches (~ 46 cm) of 26g purple wire off the spool. String beads as needed for each loop. For a 3-Bloom Unit cut about 24 inches (~61 cm) of 26g purple wire off the spool. String beads as needed for each loop. For a Bud Lavender: Make 1x Tip Unit, 10x Bud Units, 10x Leaves For a Blooming Lavender: Make 1x Tip Unit, 4x Bud Units, 3x 2-Bloom Units, 3x 3-Bloom Units, 10x Leaves To make this flower, we only need one French Beading technique - the Continuous Loop.
