Famous risqué author Elinor Glyn tells the Movietone audience all about "It" which is a certain kind of sex appeal. Do you have "It"?! Mrs Glyn being interviewed. No CU. Man: "I read in the papers the other day that "it" is really just the same thing as "sex appeal". Now is that really true?" Mrs Glyn: "Well you see if that was really the case, every good looking woman in the entire world would have "it", whereas I suppose that if one counted, its about 1 in every 10,000". Man: "How does one tell this in a person, is it the way they talk, or move or". Mrs Glyn: "No I should say to give "it" the most exact description it is something that emanates from the eyes, some curious magnetism and it always comes with people that are perfectly, perfectly self confident. You know you cannot have "it" if you have the slight consciousness because then you know you are thinking of yourself but as the "it" people are absolutely indifferent everything and everybody. Have you ever seen a Tiger in the Zoo?" Man: "Oh yes rather". Mrs Glyn: "Well now look the next time you go watch how it lies there, utterly indifferent, doesn't care an atom whose passing, whose going to give it a biscuit or get away in fear, it just lays there lazing, looking straight into the eyes of whoever's looking at them, that's why when all these people write to me and say how can I acquire "it" that I give them whatever rules I can think of by trying to tell them not to be self-conscious but how in the world can they have "it" if they're trying to have it".
