Oktoberfest isn't only popular in Munich. It's celebrated all around the world, like in Taybeh. Every year up to 10,000 visitors flock to the festival hosted by the Christian village located in West Bank where most residents, meanwhile, are Muslims. The Oktoberfest here is celebrated with beer from the local brewery, the traditional Dabke, a native Levantine folk dance and – like in Munich – with Bavarian Lederhosen and Dirndls. Many tourists come to Taybeh especially for Oktoberfest.
