There are no solid guidelines to loving someone who is struggling with alcohol. Every situation has it's own unique circumstances clouded by the misled thoughts of the alcohol abuser. My wife stood by my side in the darkest moments - through mental abuse, lies, and manipulation. I am not sure I deserved such a loving response to my decisions. Many spouses would have left. I am thankful she loved the man and the child within that was hurt and seeking consolation. Not everyone is so lucky. The guilt of the mental anguish I put her through I can only hope subsides over time. In this video, we visit her story of resilience, heartbreak, and an abundance of forgiveness.
