Students can stay as long as they choose in order to get the absolute best out of them selves and turn their 'kung fu dream' into reality. For those interested, the words of the voiceover, entitled 'The Path To Greatness' are as follows: The Path To Greatness. Within each and every one of us there lies the potential to be great. To go further, to be better, to achieve more. We are all born with a spark of greatness, glowing right inside us. But as life takes its toll and the world wears us down that spark begins to fade and we begin to slide down into ordinariness, into a lifetime of nothingness. And all of that potential is wasted. To succeed we need to find discipline, we need to find inspiration, we need to find great strength within us. In short, we need to find a way. In Chinese, that way has a name. It is called 'Shaolin kung fu'. The words 'kung fu' mean hard work over a long time. And that is exactly what it is. Transformation is not easy. Greatness does not come without effort. Kung fu means pushing yourself past your limits over and over again. Digging deep and finding that spark. Shaolin Kung fu has been developed over 1500 years by generations of totally dedicated, focussed individuals to become the ultimate force for change from within. For unleashing our true selves. We train body, mind, emotion, spirit and soul. We strengthen our tendon until our body is held together as a single springy mass filled with energy just waiting to explode out. We stretch to open our bodies, open our minds, to straighten our posture and walk tall. We harden our fists until they can smash through concrete. We sharpen our reflexes until we move like lightening. We push through pain to strengthen our character. We persevere and endure to discipline our minds. And through perseverance comes success! As we train, our bodies harden, our shape changes, our minds come into focus, our spirits lift, our consciousness expands. The spark within us starts to glow, then to burn, brighter and brighter until it becomes a raging fire. We start to believe in our selves. The difficult becomes easy. The impossible becomes reality. The real self who we have always known lived deep down within us suddenly starts to shine through, to emerge and to grow. We start to believe in our selves, respect our selves, value our selves. Confidence comes from the knowledge that we did not cheat, did not slack and definitely did not give up. That we were not afraid of hard work and hard knocks. That we took it all and used it to forge a stronger self. Our kung fu gives us the power, the confidence and the self respect needed to face anything which life chooses to throw at us. To walk tall and to look anyone straight in the eye. It is not simply about fighting, it is a way of life. A way in which we respect our selves enough to look after our selves properly and not to give in or back down. Kung fu may be hard work. But when we look back, with a feeling of strength, confidence and satisfaction, we realise that all that hard work was worth it! Look deep inside your self. Right down to your inner core, to your heart of hearts, and ask your self 'am I happy with what I see? Is this who I really want to be? Or do I need kung fu to change me into something more?' What do you see your self becoming? What is your kung fu dream? What is stopping you?
