Celebrating Over 50 Years of the Kings Cinema in West Bromwich: A Guided Tour of an Iconic Abandoned Building Welcome to this nostalgic journey through time as I celebrate over 50 years of the Kings Cinema in West Bromwich! Although it has been closed for over 23 years, this iconic building remains a reminder of its golden era for filmgoers during the 1970s, 80s, and early 90s, when the Kings was at its peak in popularity. I can still recall the smell of popcorn wafting through the air as people lined up to watch the latest releases. As I first did at age 6 in November 1990 for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Accompany me as I venture through the upper floors, taking a stroll around the projection room for screen two, wandering through the staff corridors, and exploring the bar area on the second floor. Finally, we'll walk up to the top of the stairs, where the last cinema screen three locations on the top floor and appreciate it for what it once was. I feel so lucky I got to be the final customer to share this video with you all.
