Meet Mathew MacDonald, our Impact Programs Coordinator at the Children's Hospital Foundation. With a background from theoretical physics, cancer research and even working at Disney, Mathew's career has taken him around the world – but his passion for creating joy for others led him to the Children's Hospital Foundation. From organising special guest visits in the wards and petting zoos to planning hospital-wide events like the Queensland Children's Hospital's recent 10th birthday party, Mathew helps create moments of happiness for sick kids and their families when it is needed most. "We have the opportunity to play a small but crucial part in our families' stories, in what may be some of the worst moments of their lives - and that's really incredible."
