How's it going, neighbors Today, we're taking a look at the Weigh Safe replacement dual ball mount for your 180 aluminum ball mount. Now, this guy right here is gonna give you a 1-7/8 ball and a 2-inch ball to allow you to switch it out from your 2-inch and 2-5/16. So let's take a closer look at how it installs and what it does for us. All right, so we're just gonna go ahead and slide this guy out here. On the back, you notice this pin, and it just kinda wiggles out of position. The back of your shank is what holds it in place, and it comes right out. Now, you're able to remove your ball, and you can swap it out for your inch and 7/8 or 2-inch ball. So good thing to have it on hand if you already have the 2-5/16 set up and you just tow a lot of different things. This is a good way to make sure that you're ready no matter what you face. And you just align your pin hole. (metal clanking) There we go, and just drop it right into position. Now, it's always a good idea to have the threaded side out, so just in case if you need to get a screw or something in here, you can get a grip on it since it fits pretty tight with the tolerances. (metal clanking) Yeah. And now, we can go ahead and throw this guy on. (metal clunking) Reinstall our lock, and we're ready to ride. Now, in general, Weigh Safe uses some really solid materials. It's a company that I know that uses things that are designed to put up with the abuse of being out there in the real-world towing. So you would wanna add some lubricant to your pivot point here. It's a good thing just to give you a better riding experience. But other than that, out the box, it's practically the same material, just a different size and capacity versus the 2-5/16, 2-inch ball. Your max weight on it is 8,000 pounds, so just make sure that you stay within your weight limitations. Now, once you put this guy to work, I would love to hear how it worked for you. Please, leave a comment below because I would just like having those interactions with you. Now, again, this is Ed with etrailer.com, taking a look at the Weigh Safe replacement dual ball with 2-inch and 1-7/8-inch ball. Have a great day.
