It takes no longer than five seconds for the 5.5 tonnes heavy race truck to speed from 0 to 100 km/h. Braking time to 0 can be reached even faster. For decades Knorr-Bremse has used these extremes to explore the power reserves of compressors, valves, disc brakes and actuators to achieve system perfection. Knorr-Bremse has increased its dedication to truck racing since 2016 by active support through TruckServices, the Knorr-Bremse brand for the aftermarket. Commercial vehicles must perform at their highest levels, not only in truck racing, where strong performance is required very intensively for some hours. Therefore the modifications to products available commercially are very little.
