Schematics at: http://www.z80.info/z80core4.htm. More info at: http://www.z80.info This is the first version of my Homemade Z80 computer. Z80 was a very popular 8bits computer back in the 80s and the only one available for sale in a local store when I started the project. Searching for schematics I found problems to get some components, so I had to adapt two or three different projects. Most part of the project is based o M. Kimura design available at www.z80.info. Z80 Info website is the most complete site about Z80 that I have found. There you will find schematics, assembly language tutorials, emulatores, assemblers, etc. It is incredible. The hardware: CPU: Z80A running at 3.5 MHZ ROM: 32 KB (28C256) RAM: 32 KB (62256) PIO: 4 PORTS (2 inputs and 2 outputs) I am working to interface the Z80 to a PS2 Keyboard, to a Video Board (based on a PIC18f) and I also intend to interface it with a SD Card. The advantage, in my opion, by using a Z80 is the possibility to load executable programs from a sd card into the RAM and run it from there. In my other project, the PIC18F computer, that was not possible, so in the sd card I was able to load only data, all the code needed to be recorded in the ROM.
