Day In The Life ~ Clipping, Competing & Crashing 🫠

It’s a big day for Jam as she heads out to her first competition in 10 months after recovering from injury. I took her to a lovely local venue for a bit of a low-key comeback—just combined training - a dressage test followed by a round of show jumps, to ease her back in. In true Jammy fashion, I assumed she’d strut straight back in like nothing ever happened… but horses have a great way of humbling us, don’t they? 😅 The day wasn’t a disaster by any means, but it definitely served as a reminder that even the most experienced horses need time, confidence, and a little reassurance after time off. And that I’ve got a few things to work on before she heads out eventing again next week! This vlog also doubles as a little day in the life—Jam got a fresh trim before we left (she had to look her best obviously), and you’ll also get a glimpse into how we juggle running a busy yard alongside getting out to compete.
