How To: Speed Swatch for Knitting in the Round

Speed swatching is a fabulous skill for swatching for knitted projects worked in the round. By working on the RS of the fabric only you save time and save yarn when swatching. Instructions for knitting a swatch as I have done in the video: Cast on your required number of stitches. I often take that of gauge and round up to the nearest 10. Work in garter (knit both sides) for 6 rows. Row 1 (RS): Knit. Row 2 (RS): P3, knit to last 3 sts, p3. Rep [Rows 1 and 2], carrying your working yarn in a loose strand behind the work. Work in garter for 6 rows. Bind off. Fold project in half and cut the running threads so the swatch will lie flat for blocking and measuring gauge.
