The world is calling me a killer,” his post in Hindi read. He also shared a smiling video with Nikki and their son, writing, “I’m devastated. I’m left with nothing”. Nikki, 28, died of burn injuries on Thursday after allegedly being doused with inflammable liquid and set on fire. Videos from Sirsa village show Vipin assaulting Nikki and dragging her before she was set ablaze. Along with Vipin, his parents and elder brother have been booked; police are searching for them. Nikki’s sister Kanchan, also married in the same family, alleged both sisters faced constant dowry torture since 2016. Family claimed in-laws demanded ₹36 lakh; despite giving a car earlier, harassment continued. Kanchan said she was assaulted the same night and witnessed Nikki being set on fire.
