This video is a travel vlog in Jandia as part of my Fuerteventura travel series. Subscribe if you want to see more authentic travel experiences like this beyond the usual resorts and tourist traps. Jandía, in southern Fuerteventura. Basically, one massive, stunning beach – or rather, a series of them. This video's all about exploring the peninsula, from the endless Playa de Sotavento to the remote Playa Juan Gómez and the lighthouse right at the tip. We'll start on Sotavento. I'd heard it called the "Maldives of Europe"… and yeah, I can see why. Miles and miles of fine, white sand, and that incredible turquoise water. It's the perfect place to just switch off. Then, a quick look at Morro Jable. It's a newer town, built for tourism, but it's kept a bit of charm, unlike Costa Calma, which is much more of a resort. Morro Jable's also the gateway to the Jandía Natural Park – that's where we're heading next. The Natural Park is something else. Rugged mountains, volcanic peaks, and a feeling of proper remoteness. It's a world away from the beaches, and it gives you a sense of what Fuerteventura was like before… well, before everything. Then, the Mirador de Cofete. The view from up there… words can't really do it justice. You're looking down on Playa de Cofete, this wild, untouched beach that stretches for miles. After that, we'll head to Playa Juan Gómez. It's a bit of a mission to get to – a hidden gem, really – but well worth it. And finally, right to the very tip of the peninsula: the Faro Punta de Jandía (the lighthouse) and Playa de los Ojos, with its mad rock formations that appear at low tide.
