The Ceracell Handy Nuc holds 6 full depth frames. We developed the Handy Nuc this way so it can hold a Ceracell 5-Frame Nuc Top Feeder. We reinforced the sides of the Handy Nuc to make the sides extra durable under the top feeders weight as well as increasing the Handy Nuc's Insulation properties. The reason the Handy Nuc can hold a 5-Frame top feeder is simply due to the width of the wood. Top Feeder rims are made from 22mm thick wood compared to the Handy Nuc corflute walls which are 10mm thick. The extra space further allows an extra frame in the Handy Nuc and is wide enough to hold the 5-Frame Top Feeder.The Ceracell Handy Nuc comes as a complete kit, it comes with: 2 x air vents, 1 x large red revolving entrance disc and a removable lid that snaps onto the body in a snug fit.The lid has a design feature that clicks into place on the body. A simple outward pull will un-clip the lid for easy removal when inspecting. The corflute is made from UV resistant material so it doesn't degrade in the sunlight and is extremely durable. It has the capability of having 6 vents in total. Extra vents are sold separately if you wish to use the Nuc in transportation or send bees via courier. The Nuc comes in kit set form and will need to be assembled by hand. The corflute is very easy to fold and manipulate.
