This is a solo guitar arrangement of the chorus of Mairzy Doats, written in 1943 by Jerry Livingstone, Al Hoffman and Milton Drake. They must have been drinking or otherwise indulging in something pretty interesting at the time to come up this lyrics like this! None of your "answers- blowing-in-the-wind" rubbish - this is the real thing. For anyone who doesn't speak this particular brand of English, I reproduce the lyrics which I first heard ages ago and found rather fun. Mairzy Doats and dozy doats And liddle lamzy divey A kiddley divey too, Wouldn't you, yes Mairzy Doats and dozy doats And liddle lamzy divey A kiddley divey too, Wouldn't you, If the words aren't clear And funny to your ear A little bit jumbled and jivey Sing Mares eat oats And does eat oats And little lambs eat ivy, oh Mairzy Doats and dozy doats And liddle lamzy divey A kiddley divey too, Wouldnt you -o, A kiddley divey too, Mairzy Doats and dozy doats And liddle lamzy divey A kiddley divey too, Wouldnt you Cool stuff, eh :o)
