How WaterNSW supplies water to Greater Sydney

With five million people living and working in Sydney and its surrounding areas, they all rely on WaterNSW to manage and monitor the water we supply, to our biggest customer: Sydney Water. WaterNSW manages a complex network of dams, storages and pipelines to supply water to its customers. We supply Sydney’s raw water, by collecting it from river catchments, to the south and west of Sydney, storing it in 11 major dams, and transporting it via a network of rivers, tunnels, pipes, pumps and canals, to Sydney Water’s filtration plants.
