Supermarket pay day, YouTube pay day, and work-place pension pay days have all fallen in the same week this month end. This confluence has made it possible for me to look at my funds allocation somewhat differently than usual, and I have managed allocations such that four sinking funds have now met the targets I had set for them! This made me realise I can now use the 'snowball' debt repayment method as a means of hastening topping up my remaining sinking funds to meet their targets. After a year of very careful money management in the wake of the 5K chimney repair crisis (Jan 2025) and taking unexpected semi-retirement (June 2025), I think I have reached a point where I can see myself getting my finances back to where I want them to be.
