When the Palladium opened as a dance studio & hall, it had a floor that could hold a thousand couples dancing at once. Music promoter Federico Pagani started booking Latin music there on a Sundays and Wednesdays. Everyone dressed to impress, brought their friends, and danced to live music all night. Tito Puente, Tito Rodriguez & Machito were the “Big 3″ but a lot of other great bands played there too- like Arsenio Rodriguez, Celia Cruz, Bene More, La Lupe, Israel Rivera and more!
