We got inspired by a YouTube video, featuring a news flash of a young couple snorkeling off the coast of Maui, Hawaii. The couple were snorkeling with full face mask snorkel gear. They both drowned and one of them was still wearing the mask. After watching this, we felt a strong urge to make this video because I (Shawn) had a near death event caused by the same gear design. Just today after making this video, I ran into a close friend from our gym, he was shocked to hear my story of nearly drowning, then shared that he had considered buying one for his Hawaii trip. Our friends son urged him not too as well because it was too new, and needed to be tested first, and to wait for more reviews. A second friend shared a similar story of wanting to buy this type of mask design. This was an alarm ringing in our ears, clearly the word needs to get out asap.
