Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park in New Zealand is a trampers playground, with 19 different peaks over 3000m, including Mount Cook itself at 3724m. It's a world heritage site, and it's easy to see why, with its glaciers, jagged summits and fast flowing rivers. Parts of The Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia and Mulan were filmed here.
