When I bought mine, it was around $8.50. I love this Dewalt Random Orbit Sander (https://amzn.to/2IiGhbl ), it makes quick work of sanding everything smooth. BUT the side of the Sanding Pad that came with it was soft and some larger wood splinters eventually tore it up. This replacement sanding pad seems to be more durable with a stronger side. So, I am pretty hopeful that it will last even longer than the original.
