In February's AEP session, we were joined by Artis Grant, a retired attorney who shares his cases and recommendations for our sickle cell community. Prior to Artis's retirement, he was actively involved in civil litigation, including insurance defense, medical malpractice, forensic medicine, employment law, and education law in his career. He is a Harvard Law School graduate (1974), and received his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from UCLA. Before starting his own law firm, he was an associate with Lawler, Felix, and Hall, and was a member of the California, Oregon, and Washington bars. He served four years as an Army JudgeAdvocate. He practiced in California for more than 40 years and his last 20 years of practice were also in the state of Washington. He served on numerous boards of directors, like the American Red Cross, the Pacific Northwest African American Museum, The Tacoma Art Museum, and the Tacoma Men’s Wednesday Morning Prayer Group. ----------------------------------------------------- Sign up for our next session here: https://www.scaasf.org/advocacy-and-e...
