The strips of habitat that connect ecosystems and the wildlife that inhabit them are what’s known as ‘wildlife corridors.’ They are critical areas that protect against the impacts of human infrastructure and development. They can enable wildlife populations to migrate, breed, and sustain themselves via genetic diversity. In this edition of Mongabay’s webinar series, we examine how journalists can report on corridors and answer key questions related to their use in law, policy, scientific study, conservation, and human development. Joining the panel are Prachi Thatte, from the Coalition for Wildlife Corridors, Arthur D. Middleton, from the University of California, Berkeley, and Liz Kimbrough, from Mongabay.
