1978 Hoover S2090 vacuum cleaner

YAY! I'm back and happy to present you this little Hoover S2090 "aka Hoover Jolly" stick vac, made in France from 1978 to aprox 1981-82. I found it on a craigslist almost a year ago for 25 euros and couldn't let it scape as it's a quite rare model, at least here. It was terrible filthy, the motor was caked in dirt, one of the bearings was broken and the other one was quite dry (so I had to replace them), the foam insulation was crumbling, and most of the metal parts from the motor and floor tool we're quite rusty...So yes! There was a lot of work to do, but it's finally gleaming and back to life. Very simple machine, but very funcional. I love the cassette system that holds the paper bag, it makes bag changing so easy and clean. A security device don't let you close the lid if there isn't a bag inside or if it's not correctly fitted. Dust bag indicator, combination floor/carpet tool, 500 watts motor (the suction can be consideres on the powerful side for a stick/hand vac), dust bag indicator and power outlet for power nozzle. A funny fact is that It was sold back in the day as an "extremely quiet" vacuum, and well...It's not as loud as on the video, but definetly not quiet.
