Chinese Yueju Opera: Legend of White Snake

A Taoist monk Fa Hai intervenes in order to save the scholar's soul and casts the white snake into a deep well at the Leifeng Pagoda.ai gives birth to Xu's son before she is trapped. Bai's sister takes the baby to Xu's relatives, who raise him to become a top scholar. The son returns to the pagoda to pay his respects. Finally Bai is released because of her son's filial piety. This episode shows that White Snake's son XU Shilin pays his respect to his mother under the pagoda. He prays to the god to re-unit with his mother as soon as possible
