A playthrough of Pokémon Scarlet, but I only use 6 first partner Pokémon that are not evolved(Bulbasaur, Charmander, Tepig, Froakie, Rowlet, Sobble). The 6 Pokémon I had were randomly chosen. The only rules I had are I must be in the level cap... except that was hard to do with these final battles because their levels are so close to one another or are in between the Elite Four's level caps. This meant I had to forgo level caps for some of these fights. Oh right the other rules, I can use up to three items in battle and no evolving the Pokémon. ========================== 0:00 Director Clavell Additional notes: -1 attempt -Watch the Gym Leader Video if you want to know the EVs as they are the same for the whole run. -Yawn + Dream Eater was a combo I forgot Oranguru had. -Is it obvious I just improvised the rest of the battle after Charmander fainted? -Why I used energy ball instead of sludge bomb on Amoonguss, I don't know. -Yeah I chose Sprigatito at the beginning of the game. This is why Clavell has a Skeledirge. 13:30 Penny Additional notes: -2 attempts -I forgot Umbreon had Psychic. Because I used toxic spikes turn 1 on my first attempt, I never got to set up spikes. -Admittedly, my strategy wasn't really a strategy, but rather set up traps and improvise. 24:41 Arven Additional notes: -1 attempt -I didn't have a plan for this battle. Surprised I made it work. -Wow, Toadscruel was faster than Sobble?! -Not the way I was expecting to use Tepig in this battle, but him falling asleep limited my options. 36:18 Nemona Additional notes: -6 attempts -All of Nemona's Pokémon both hit really hard and take little damage from my Pokémon. I could not find a good way to deal with her Pokémon without sacrificing some of my Pokémon for the first 3 attempts. It doesn't help that Nemona uses stealth rock. -On attempt 4, I learned I could make Nemona's Goodra use dragon pulse instead of muddy water if Charmander held a Passho Berry. This meant Charmander COULD survive and take out 2 Pokémon while damaging Dudusparce. -I got lucky that Lycanroc missed a drill run on allowing me to set 3 spike layers without needing to heal. (Also, Lycanroc was cable of using drill run on turn 1, ruining the attempt.) -Charmander surviving the dragon pulse was a range BTW. (That combined with Lycanroc using drill run on turn 1 ended attempt 5.) -Once, Nemona had Pawmot and Quaquaval left, the idea was to switch to stall strategy and let the poison make them faint. -Oops, I left the item counter up for a little longer than needed. (To be fair, it took me six attempts to beat Nemona.) 48:03 AI Professor Sada Additional notes: -5 attempts -The first 3 attempts was me trying to figure out what would work to get a set up sweep going. The original idea was to use 2 X Special Attacks and 1 X Speed, but Sobble can actually outspeed everything without the X Speed. Which is important because Scream Tail doesn't faint in one hit. -On attempt 4, Slither Wing managed to hit Sobble with low sweep, meaning it could no longer outspeed some Pokémon ending that attempt. -Because this strategy uses luck, on attempt 5, I tried to maximize it by using feather dance first then switching to Charmander. This makes Slither Wing deal less damage thus allowing Charmander to use more guaranteed smokescreens. -That burn almost ended the attempt. Thankfully, I was able to use all 3 X Special Attack.
